Rutgers Online Maps is built upon Google Maps API and is hosted on Google App Engine. Initially developed as an improvement of the original image-based Rutgers Maps, new Rutgers Online Maps now incorporates data and services from several department units across the University. In the future the new system will provide APIs to the University as well.
The new Rutgers Online Maps is built in JavaScript for the front-end and Java for the back-end. AJAX is extensively used to provide better user experience and Java is used mainly for all search functions.
If you find any bug in this map system or difficult to use, please send us feedback to help us improve it. You can also call RU-info to let us know your thoughts.
